Hayatu-Deen Unveils National Jobs Agenda in Abuja

Dr. Moham Hayatu-Deen, the presidential aspirant for the African Democratic Congress (ADC), unveiled a national jobs agenda during a town hall meeting in Abuja, which garnered endorsement from stakeholders in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

The agenda aims to tackle Nigeria's economic challenges, including rising unemployment, insecurity, and the increasing cost of living. Hayatu-Deen emphasized the necessity of job creation as a central policy to improve the lives of millions of Nigerians, reduce poverty, and provide hope and dignity to the youth.

His plan includes a public works scheme targeting the poorest local government areas, tax incentives for businesses to create jobs, and interventions to expand enterprises nationwide. Hayatu-Deen has a background in overseeing 145 companies across 19 northern states and has a long career in banking and business reform.

He noted that Nigeria's economic crisis directly affects citizens, linking unemployment and economic hardship to rising insecurity and criminal activities. The endorsement from FCT stakeholders comes as political activities intensify ahead of the 2027 presidential elections.
