HBM Nigeria Reports N208bn Profit in H1 2026

HBM Nigeria Plc, formerly Lafarge Africa Plc, announced a significant increase in profitability for the first half of 2026, with profit after tax rising 57% to about N208 billion. This growth was attributed to stronger cement volumes, improved distribution, and effective cost management.

HBM Nigeria is also planning to expand its capacity with a new production line in Calabar, aiming to meet Nigeria's long-term cement demand, as it currently has a production capacity of 10.5 million tonnes per annum.
