HCDT Empowers Ikuru Town with N50m Palliatives and Skill Training in Rivers State

The HCDT distributed N50 million worth of livelihood support items to 2,500 households in Ikuru Town, Rivers State, while also training 15 youths in different skills. Prof.

Lysia Gilbert, the chairman of HCDT, highlighted the importance of community support, especially during the festive season. The beneficiaries were trained in skills like pipe fitting, welding, hairdressing, fashion design, and more, with the aim of making them self-reliant.

The initiative also included renovating schools, providing educational support, and embarking on water projects to enhance the standard of living in the community.
