HCSF Concludes FCSSIP25 Review, Urges Reform Commitment

On June 17, 2026, the Head of Civil Service of the Federation, Mr. Didi Esther Walson Jack, formally closed the end-term review of the Federal Civil Service Strategy Implementation Plan 2021-2025 (FCSSIP25) during a session held at the UN House Auditorium in Abuja.

The review provided stakeholders with the opportunity to assess the implementation of FCSSIP25, identifying achievements, gaps, and generating recommendations for the development of a successor strategy for 2026-2030. Mr.

Walson Jack noted that the review focused on six reform pillars, including capability building, talent management, performance management systems, human resource innovation, digitalization, and staff welfare. She confirmed significant progress in strengthening institutional capacity and advancing digital transformation.

Walson Jack emphasized the need for sustained momentum in reforms and called on ministries and departments to embrace innovation and share knowledge. She reaffirmed that a modern, performance-driven, and digitally enabled civil service is essential for effective governance in Nigeria.
