Helpster Brings Life-saving Healthcare to Remote Yobe Village

Helpster Charity recently conducted a life-saving healthcare outreach program in the remote village of Tajuwa in Yobe State, Nigeria. The initiative is part of Helpster's mission to extend healthcare access to underserved communities in Africa and Asia.

The village, like many rural areas in Nigeria, faces significant barriers to healthcare due to a lack of nearby hospitals and qualified medical personnel. Through a partnership with Ayaji Medical Diagnostic Centre, Helpster delivered critical medical services to the residents of Tajuwa, including screenings, diagnoses, treatments, and health education sessions.

A total of 134 individuals, including children, women, and men, received treatment for various conditions such as measles, malaria, malnutrition, and respiratory infections. Helpster's Nigeria Country Manager, Perpetua Mbanefo, emphasized the pressing issue of healthcare inequality in Africa and commended the turnout in Tajuwa.

Since launching their outreach program in 2023, Helpster has reached people in multiple countries and continues to connect.
