NMA Disowns Viral Cancer Report Linked to Blessing Okoro

The Nigerian Medical Association (NMA), specifically the Delta State chapter, has disowned a viral histology report that allegedly linked relationship coach Blessing Okoro to a breast cancer diagnosis. The report circulated on social media, but the NMA clarified that it did not belong to Okoro.

The statement, jointly signed by Delta State NMA Chairman Dr. Israel Adaigho and Secretary Dr.

Usamah Hannah, explained that the document was issued by Xinu Medical Diagnostics in Asaba, Delta State, and not from Enugu as claimed. The report was confirmed to originate from a patient named Mbara Deborah.

The NMA urged the public to be cautious of altered documents that could undermine the credibility of medical practitioners. This clarification became necessary as Okoro, who is battling stage four cancer, had sought financial support from the public but faced backlash for sharing an edited medical report.

Following the controversy, she deactivated her social media accounts.
