Michael “Hitman” Ani is set to battle Taiwo “Gentle Boy” Olowu in the super-welterweight main event of The Street Rumble Season 2, scheduled for December 13, 2026, at Maracana Square in Ajegunle, Lagos. The fight, confirmed by Match Makers Sports International, is anticipated as a long-overdue reckoning between the two boxers.

Ani and Olowu were initially scheduled to meet on April 20, 2025, but the bout was canceled when Ani sustained an arm injury during training, leading to his withdrawal. Now, over a year later, the boxing community is eager for this matchup, which pits Ani's desire for redemption against Olowu's experience as a two-time West African welterweight champion.

Promoter Mike Adeyemo, CEO of Match Makers Sports International, emphasized the significance of the event, which will also feature Ray Mercer, the 1988 Olympic gold medallist, as a special ringside guest.
