In 2025, Hollywood studios collectively earned N6.6 billion from the West African box office, according to Comscore data. This revenue was generated by six major studios: Warner Bros, Disney, Universal Pictures, Paramount Pictures, and Sony Pictures.

Warner Bros emerged as the top earner, bringing in approximately N2.26 billion. The report indicates that independent studios face challenges in market reach and screen allocation, suggesting potential for growth, especially in digital distribution and festival circuits.

The market share data reveals that Warner Bros commanded 33.8% of the Hollywood box office in Nigeria, followed by Disney at 32.5%, Universal at 9.9%, Paramount at 8.7%, and Sony at 8.2%. Independent titles combined accounted for 6.9%.

The competitive landscape is underscored by the increasing presence of Nollywood products alongside global franchises, indicating a shift in local cinematic tastes. The report emphasizes that Hollywood's stronghold in Nigeria is driven by brand recognition and high production values, with opportunities for local distributors and cinema chains to explore partnerships with smaller studios.
