Nigerian House of Reps Push for Upgrade of UI, UNN, ABU to Restore Quality

The House of Representatives in Nigeria has urged the Federal Ministry of Education and TETFund to collaborate in upgrading first-generation federal universities like UI, UNN, and ABU. The motion, moved by Hon.

Aderemi Oseni, highlighted the neglect and decay of infrastructure in these institutions since their establishment in the 1960s. Concerns were raised about the poor quality of TETFund projects and the need for the government to refurbish these universities to attract foreign students and regain international recognition.
