Adebutu Kessington resolves rift between Ooni of Ife and Alaafin of Oyo, promotes Yoruba unity

Business mogul Adebutu Kessington, popularly known as Baba Ijebu, facilitated the reconciliation between the Ooni of Ife and the Alaafin of Oyo following a two-month rift. The monarchs, along with Adebutu, announced the formation of a joint council for Yoruba unity to promote peace, culture, and socio-economic growth in the Southwest.

The rift began when the Ooni of Ife conferred a title on businessman Dotun Sanusi, leading to grievances from the Alaafin. Adebutu's intervention aims to uphold Yoruba values and foster harmony among the people.
