Tragic Flood Sweeps Away Sisters and Others in Zaria

Tragedy struck in Zaria as floods swept away two sisters and others in the Tudun Jukun area. The bodies of Fatima Sani Dan Marke, a student, and Yusuf Surajo were recovered, but Fatima's sister, Haneefa, remains missing.

Fatima, the daughter of Alhaji Sani Danmarke, was on her way home with her sister when they were swept away near Nasara Baptist Church. Witnesses recounted how the motorcyclist, Mallam Daddy, managed to escape, but the sisters were carried away by the floodwaters.

The community mourns the loss as search efforts continue for Haneefa.
