Funke Akindele's Hustle: Surviving UNILAG with Jobs

Funke Akindele, a Nollywood actress and producer, recounted her experiences of surviving financially while studying at the University of Lagos (UNILAG). In a recent interview with Bella Naija, she revealed that she undertook various jobs to support herself during her studies.

Akindele learned nail artistry and offered her services to fellow students, becoming known as the "nail girl" on campus. She also sold cakes, worked as a makeup artist, and handled costume design for film productions.

Notably, she collaborated with makeup artist Bimp Onakoya and learned about costume design from Bukki Wright, while Iyabo Ojo also frequented Yaba for costume purchases. Additionally, Akindele worked behind the scenes in the movie industry as a location manager, where she earned money by helping students secure bed spaces on campus, charging N100,000 for 30 spaces and selling them for N70,000 each.

Her experiences reflect her hustler mentality and the lessons learned from her university life.
