Enagi Denied Ranking Senator Position Amid Election Irregularities

Mohammad Enagi, a candidate for the Niger State Senate, disclosed that he was denied the ranking senator position after winning the Niger South senatorial district election in the 2023 elections. Enagi, who previously served in the 9th Assembly from 2019 to 2023, expressed disappointment over the electoral process, highlighting irregularities during the vote counting.

He noted that he received over 11,000 votes in Katcha local government, while his opponent from the PDP received over 9,000 votes. However, he alleged that the results were manipulated, reducing his votes by 2,000.

Enagi criticized the lack of support from Governor Sani Bello, stating that he did not back his candidacy, which contributed to his challenges. Despite these setbacks, Enagi remains optimistic about his future political endeavors, emphasizing his commitment to humanitarian efforts and his desire to represent the Nupe people with integrity.
