Nami Declares Senate Bid, Unveils Education Initiatives

Muhammad Nami, the former Executive Chairman of the Nigeria Revenue Service, declared his intention to contest for the Niger South Senate seat during a ceremony held in Boku Ward, Niger State. The event attracted a large crowd, including party leaders, youth groups, and women’s organizations, marking a significant moment in the political history of the area.

Nami announced several educational initiatives aimed at empowering youth and supporting vulnerable families, including a scholarship program for students pursuing various professional courses. He committed to sponsoring 50 students annually for secondary education over the next ten years, covering school fees and examination costs.

Nami emphasized his dedication to community service and development, stating that his ambition is driven by a genuine passion to serve rather than personal enrichment. He also highlighted landmark projects executed by his foundation, including the establishment of a rural hospital and improvements in electricity supply to enhance socio-economic activities in the community.
