Peter Obi Outlines Opposition Strategy as Presidential Candidate

In an interview aired on Saturday, Peter Obi, a presidential candidate, discussed his strategy for managing opposition if elected president of Nigeria. He stated that he would work to bring together all political parties to foster collaboration and address the interests of citizens.

Obi responded to a question regarding Bola Tinubu's assertion that his party is the strongest, asserting that no party should monopolize ideas in society. He emphasized the importance of engaging with opposition parties to achieve better governance.

Obi also recalled his previous involvement with the African Democratic Congress (ADC), noting that he officially joined the party on December 31, 2025, but left in May 2026 due to internal divisions and a court case.
