Aniebonam Rejects Kwankwaso's Claims on NNPP Exit

Aniebonam, the founder of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), addressed claims made by Rabiu Kwankwaso regarding his exit from the party, stating that it was not influenced by external forces. In a statement on Sunday, May 3, Aniebonam emphasized that Kwankwaso's departure stemmed from his own actions, which he described as a habitual tendency to blame external influences for internal problems.

He linked the crisis within the NNPP to Kwankwaso's conduct, which has reportedly led to mass defections of members to the All Progressives Congress (APC). Aniebonam also highlighted that Kwankwaso's failure to manage success properly contributed to the party's challenges.

He warned that the African Democratic Congress (ADC) could face similar issues if it does not address its internal dynamics. Furthermore, he noted that Kwankwaso's performance in the presidential election was subpar, finishing fourth behind Bola Tinubu, Atiku Abubakar, and Peter Obi, despite some members of the Kwankwasiyya movement winning governorship positions in Kano State.
