UBA Launches Innovation Hub at UNILAG to Boost Entrepreneurship

United Bank for Africa (UBA) inaugurated the UBA Innovation Hub and Business Office at the University of Lagos (UNILAG) to strengthen its long-standing relationship with the institution. The project aims to promote collaboration between academia and industry, support innovative entrepreneurship, and expand opportunities for student research.

UBA's chairman, Toni Elumelu, emphasized the importance of this initiative, which represents a return to his alma mater and a commitment to shaping the future of Africa through youth empowerment. The four-floor complex is designed to address challenges faced by students and provide a platform for collaboration among students, academics, and professionals.

UBA's Group Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Oliv Alawuba, described the initiative as part of a deliberate effort to create opportunities for future generations. This development underscores UBA's belief in the role of educational institutions in driving sustainable growth across Africa.
