Kaduna Pensioners Thank Uba Sani for ₦4.289 Billion Relief

The Kaduna State chapter of the Nigeria Union of Pensioners (NUP) has expressed appreciation to Governor Uba Sani for his recent approval of ₦4.289 billion aimed at covering death benefits and pension payments for families of deceased civil servants. This payment will benefit 1,637 beneficiaries under the contributory pension scheme, with a total of ₦3.915 billion allocated for this purpose.

The union noted that this timely intervention has brought significant relief to pensioners who have awaited their entitlements for years. In a letter dated April 16, 2026, signed by Aboman Ladan and Alhassan Balarab Musa, the union expressed confidence in Governor Sani's ability to clear outstanding pension liabilities, given his positive track record.

The governor's recent release of funds brings the cumulative sum paid to ₦17.796 billion since he assumed office, benefiting no fewer than 8,344 families of deceased workers.
