HURIWA Urges Tinubu to Act on Kidnapped Kaduna Family

The Human Rights Writers Association of Nigeria (HURIWA) has urged President Bola Tinubu and Minister of Defence General Christopher Musa to mobilize security agencies for the rescue of Mr Ahmed Zakka, his wife, and their three-month-old baby, who were abducted by terrorists in Kaduna State. HURIWA called for coordinated joint security operations to rescue over 2,000 Nigerians allegedly held captive by terrorists.
In a statement signed by National Coordinator Comrade Emmanuel Onwubiko, the group demanded the arrest and prosecution of those responsible for the kidnappings. HURIWA also requested that Tinubu relieve Musa and Minister of State for Defence Dr Bello Matawalle of their political campaign duties to focus on security issues.
The group referenced a video allegedly released by the terrorists showing the distressed family pleading for help. HURIWA emphasized that the security and welfare of citizens should take precedence over political interests and called for immediate action to rescue the Zakka family.
