HYPREP Partners with Lancaster University to Transform Ogoni into Environmental Research Hub

The Hydrocarbon Pollution Remediation Project (HYPREP) has collaborated with Lancaster University to transform Ogoni into a center of excellence for environmental research. Prof.

Nenibarini Zabbey, a member of HYPREP's board of trustees, revealed the partnership's goal to maximize Ogoni's potential as a hub for environmental research. The project, currently 92% complete, includes the establishment of the Ogoni Center of Excellence.

HYPREP's chairman, Emmanuel Deeyah, expressed satisfaction with the progress during an inspection tour. Additionally, Emeka Chibuzor disclosed details about ongoing projects, including the construction of a power station and water projects.

The overall aim is to complete the environmental remediation and restoration efforts in Ogoniland.
