Baba Ijesha Denies Rape and Paedophilia Allegations

Baba Ijesha, a Nollywood actor, has publicly denied allegations of being a rapist and paedophile during an interview with veteran broadcaster Yinka Ayefele on Fresh FM. He insists on his innocence regarding the charges that led to his imprisonment.

Baba Ijesha recounts the events that led to his arrest, stating that he was invited under the pretext of a movie role involving actress Damilola Adekoya. He claims he unknowingly participated in a staged situation involving a minor and admits that financial incentives influenced his decisions.

In July 2022, Baba Ijesha was found guilty by the Lagos State High Court sitting in Ikeja for sexual assault and indecent treatment of a child, resulting in a five-year sentence, with three years to run concurrently. His version of events was made public following the release of a movie titled "Eniwar Daran," which narrates his side of the story.
