Kanu's Lawyer Confirms Detention at Kuje Prison Amid Protest Arrest

Nnamdi Kanu's lawyer, Ejimakor, confirms being detained at Kuje Prison after Kanu's arrest during a protest in Abuja. Concerns were expressed over the handling of the case, with allegations that a specific court in Kuje was deliberately chosen for arraignment instead of a magistrate court in Abuja.

Ejimakor was among those arrested during the protest led by activist Omoyele Sowore demanding Kanu's release. Emmanuel Kanu, the younger brother of the IPOB leader, was also arrested.

The lawyer's actions have been criticized for being inconsistent with professional ethics, especially given Kanu's ongoing treason trial.
