Desola Afod, a Nigerian actress and wife of Yoruba Nollywood actor Kunle Afod, has publicly addressed online trolls who suggested she should drop her husband's surname. The criticism arose from claims that her fame is entirely linked to her husband's identity, implying she does not recognize herself without the Afod name.

In her response, Desola firmly warned critics not to invade her private messages and clarified that she does not interfere in others' lives, nor will she tolerate disrespect directed at her. She emphasized that while people are free to share their opinions, intruding into her personal space is unacceptable.
