Ihedioha Stays with ADC Amid Obi's NDC Move

Emeka Ihedioha, a former governor of Imo State, announced his decision to remain with the African Democratic Congress (ADC) despite Peter Obi's recent move to the National Democratic Coalition (NDC). In a statement issued on Wednesday, Ihedioha expressed his commitment to strengthening the ADC and working towards a coalition that aims to deliver good governance for the people of Nigeria.

He acknowledged the political choices of leaders, including Obi, who he respects for pursuing their political aspirations. Ihedioha highlighted the collaborative efforts that have brought the ADC coalition together and emphasized the need for a shared vision for Nigeria's future.

He stated that after consulting over the past 72 hours, he found no justification to turn back from the ADC as they prepare for the 2027 general elections, reaffirming his dedication to the party's objectives and the collective goal of transcending political platforms.
