Ihedioha Stays with ADC Despite Obi's Defection

Emeka Ihedioha, the former governor of Imo State, declared on Wednesday that he will not leave the African Democratic Congress (ADC) following Peter Obi's recent departure to the Nigeria Democratic Congress. Ihedioha expressed his commitment to the ADC, stating that he has invested significant effort into building a coalition within the party and sees no reason to leave at this time.

He acknowledged Obi's decision to pursue his political ambitions elsewhere but emphasized their shared aspiration for a better Nigeria. Ihedioha, who previously served as the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, noted that the ADC's purpose is clear: to deliver good governance to the people of Nigeria and to build a nation that is accountable and prosperous.
