I consulted for 6 months before dumping PDP for APC – Gov Eno

Governor Umo Eno of Akwa Ibom State revealed in an interview with Channels Television that he consulted for six months before deciding to leave the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the All Progressives Congress (APC). The Governor stated that he had consulted with the opposition party, including Senate President Godswill Akpabio, before making the move.

Governor Eno emphasized the benefits of aligning with the ruling party, citing the support he received from prominent figures like President Bola Tinubu. He praised Tinubu's efforts in repositioning the economy since assuming office and expressed confidence in the reforms being made.
