Adebayo Criticizes INEC Over 2023 Election Fraud Claims

Adewole Adebayo, the presidential candidate of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), stated that he contested the 2023 general elections against the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC). During an interview on Channels Television’s ‘Sunday Politics’, Adebayo condemned the election results, alleging they were tainted by fraud and the endorsement of false figures by INEC.

He compared the situation to allowing a bank robber to count stolen money, asserting that the 2023 election was fundamentally flawed. Adebayo expressed a desire for the 2027 elections to be different, urging INEC and security operatives to act as impartial entities rather than adversaries.

He emphasized that candidates should not have to view INEC as an enemy, as he felt was the case in 2023. Adebayo called for serious attention to be paid to the electoral process, likening it to an exam where scores should accurately reflect effort.
