Former NFF President Amaju Pinnick Rules Out Return for Third Term, Ibrahim Gusau Elected as Successor

Amaju Pinnick, the former President of the Nigerian Football Federation (NFF), has stated that he will not seek re-election, putting an end to rumors of a possible third term. Pinnick, who served as NFF President from 2014 to 2022, expressed satisfaction with his tenure but emphasized the need for the federation to move forward and address existing gaps.

Following a period of legal and political controversies surrounding the NFF's electoral process in 2022, Ibrahim Gusau was elected as the 40th NFF President during the federation's 78th elective congress. Former Sports Minister Solomon Dalung had insisted on the constitutional limit of two terms for NFF leadership.
