Former Lagos State Governor, Bola Tinubu, emphasized the urgent need to establish state police to tackle Nigeria's escalating security challenges. Tinubu met with a delegation led by Katsina State's Dikko Radda at the presidential villa in Abuja.

He stressed the necessity for a national overhaul of the security framework through constitutional reforms. Tinubu also called for immediate action to address the country's growing security crisis.

President Buhari disclosed plans to review security aspects comprehensively and deploy advanced military equipment in Katsina State. The move towards state police received support from 36 State Houses of Assembly Speakers.
