El-Rufai Anticipates Arrest; Malami Faces Allegations in Nigeria

Former Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai, a prominent figure in the opposition African Democratic Congress (ADC), hints at a potential arrest by Nigerian security operatives in an interview with BBC Hausa Service. While El-Rufai has not been arrested yet, several of his close associates have been detained, indicating a looming threat.

In a separate development, former Attorney General of Nigeria, Abu Bakar Malami, is currently in custody facing various allegations. The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has accused Malami of offenses including abuse of office and money laundering.

Additionally, Malami was re-arrested by the Department of State Services (DSS) on separate allegations linked to terror financing. These events have drawn significant public attention and scrutiny.
