Rhodes-Vivour Reaffirms Loyalty to ADC Amid Political Turmoil

Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour, the former Labour Party governorship candidate for Lagos State, reaffirmed his membership in the African Democratic Congress (ADC) amid ongoing political realignments within Nigeria's opposition bloc. In a statement addressing Lagos residents, Rhodes-Vivour acknowledged the turbulent state of opposition politics and emphasized the necessity of unity among opposition parties.

He stated that his political journey is driven by conviction rather than convenience, asserting that every political decision he has made is rooted in principle. Rhodes-Vivour criticized compromises that conflict with these principles, particularly in relation to the All Progressives Congress (APC).

He argued that political survival in Nigeria requires organizational discipline and grassroots strength to defend electoral mandates. He also highlighted the need for sustained efforts to mobilize at the ward level across local government areas in Lagos State, especially in light of the challenges faced during the 2023 elections.
