I studied Lagos ‘runs girls’ for my role in ‘To Kill A Monkey’ — Sunshine Rosman

Nollywood actress Sunshine Rosman shared that she studied Lagos sex workers, known as 'runs girls,' to prepare for her role as Amanda Sparkles in the series 'To Kill A Monkey.' Rosman immersed herself in the world of these women to bring authenticity to her performance. She credited her upbringing in Surulere, Magodo, and Ijesha in Lagos for shaping her creativity, as her family always encouraged her artistic pursuits.

Rosman also drew inspiration from Hollywood legend Marilyn Monroe. Despite initially being rejected at the audition, Rosman eventually landed the role, which she described as her big break.

She emphasized the moral weight of the story in 'To Kill A Monkey,' highlighting the complexity of human nature and the flaws and strengths in everyone. Rosman expressed gratitude for the opportunity to work with director Kemi Adetiba, noting that everything aligned through God's grace.
