Former Nigerian Military Chief Reveals Failed Coup Plot Against Prominent Politician

General Musa, a former Chief of Defence Staff, disclosed details of a failed coup plot against a prominent Nigerian politician, Tinubu. The military arrested sixteen officers for acts of indiscipline and breaching service regulations.

Major General Samaila Uba denied the allegations, stating that the accused officers were inconsistent with the ethical values and professional standards required in the Armed Forces. General Musa made these revelations during an interview on a television channel.

The failed coup was intended to target Tinubu, and General Musa claimed he was supposed to be shot in the orchestrated coup.
