Peter Obi Threatens to Leave ADC Over Primary Concerns

Peter Obi, the current presidential candidate for the Labour Party, announced that he would abandon the African Democratic Congress (ADC) if he perceives any compromise in the party's primary process. His remarks were made during a Monday night appearance on Arise News Prime Time, where he defended his political history and criticized the internal practices of the Labour Party.

Obi alleged that the presidential primary process had become transactional and that he had not participated in it due to concerns over fairness. He expressed his commitment to speaking against electoral irregularities and emphasized that he would not remain in a party that compromises on these principles.

Obi's comments reflect ongoing internal disputes within the Labour Party and his previous experiences with the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), from which he also defected due to similar concerns regarding the primary process.
