IBEDC Appoints Deolu Ijos as New MD/CEO

The Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company (IBEDC) has announced the appointment of Mr. Deolu Ijos as its new Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, following a recent reconstitution of the company's board of directors.

Mr. Ijos succeeds Engr.

Francis Agoha in this role. Prior to this appointment, Mr.

Ijos served as the Managing Director of the Benin Electricity Distribution Company (BEDC) and has extensive industry experience and knowledge of the sector. Angela Olanrewaju, the Coordinator of Corporate Services, stated that Mr.

Ijos is expected to lead the company into its next phase of growth and transformation. The company expressed confidence in his ability to consolidate existing gains and drive improved performance across the business.

Mr. Ijos emphasized his commitment to operational efficiency, strengthening commercial discipline, and delivering improved service to customers, with a focus on teamwork and accountability.
