Ibom Air to Launch International Flights from Uyo in April 2026

Ibom Air is set to commence international flight operations in April 2026 from the nearly completed Victor Attah International Airport in Uyo, as announced by Festus Keyamo during an inspection alongside Akwa Ibom State Governor. Keyamo expressed satisfaction with the airport's readiness and standards.

The Akwa Ibom State Government has taken steps to prepare the airport for international flights, including holding meetings with relevant agencies. Governor Umo Eno thanked Minister Keyamo for his commitment to ensuring proper utilization of aviation infrastructure.

President Bola Tinubu's approval for upgrading the airport to international status was also acknowledged. Ifeoma Okekorieocha, an aviation correspondent, reported on the development.
