ICPC Detains Ex-NIMASA Boss Bashir Jamoh Over Corruption Allegations

The Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) has detained former Director-General of the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA), Bashir Jamoh, for alleged corruption and abuse of office. The ICPC detained Jamoh following a report filed against him for allegedly failing to honor several invitations related to investigations during his tenure at NIMASA.

Additionally, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) is probing N1.5 trillion fraud allegations, with Jackson Ud accusing Jamoh of diverting funds. Jamoh has denied the allegations and called for thorough investigations to clear his name.

The EFCC is yet to take concrete action on the matter.
