ICPC Interrogates APC's Toyin Okoro Over Fraud Allegations

Toyin Okoro, the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for the Ise-Orun/Ikere/Ekiti Federal Constituency seat in the 2027 general election, was interrogated by the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) regarding allegations of fraud. Okoro, a former Senior Legislative Aide to the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Tajudeen Abbas, appeared at the ICPC headquarters in Abuja on September 17, 2026, following an invitation dated September 7, 2026.

He was questioned for over two hours about allegations that he operated a private company while serving in public office, potentially violating public service regulations. The ICPC is investigating claims that he facilitated contracts for his company from various government agencies while continuing to receive salaries from the National Assembly.

Additionally, Okoro is accused of submitting falsified documents to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC). He was released on bail and directed to return for further questioning.
