ICPC Report Reveals Widespread Non-Compliance with Ethics Among Nigerian MDAs

The ICPC unveiled the 2025 Ethic Integration Compliance Scorecard, revealing poor adherence to ethical principles by Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs) of the Nigerian federal government. Out of 357 MDAs assessed, none achieved full ethical compliance, with many showing partial or poor compliance.

Key issues include lack of core values, inadequate policies on gifts and donations, absence of strategic plans, failure to conduct internal audits, and non-submission of financial reports. The report classified 169 MDAs as high-risk due to non-responsiveness to ethical standards.

The findings underscore systemic challenges in promoting ethical practices within Nigerian government entities.
