NNPC and 12 Others Score Zero in ICPC Ethics Test

The Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) and 12 other government ministries, departments, and agencies (MDAs) received a zero score in an ethics and integrity compliance test by the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC). The ICPC's assessment ranked NNPC last among 357 MDAs evaluated, with the Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission emerging as the highest-rated agency.

The ICPC's Ethics and Integrity Compliance Scorecard aims to promote transparency and ethical conduct in Nigeria's public sector. The report revealed widespread weak ethical standards across government agencies, with NNPC and others classified as high-risk institutions.
