ICPC warns NDDC staff against corrupt practices

The Independent Corrupt Practices Related Offences Commission (ICPC) has issued a warning to Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) staff members against engaging in corrupt practices. Mrs.

Ekere Usiere, ICPC Commissioner in charge of the Rivers and Bayelsa state office, emphasized the importance of holding periodic meetings to sensitize staff on the impact of corruption on development. Usiere stated that anyone caught engaging in corrupt practices would face the full wrath of the law.

Dr. Evans Peters, Head of the Legal Department at ICPC Rivers, urged the commission to strengthen its Transparency Unit and implement systems for continuous review of processes to prevent corruption.

Dr. Samuel Ogbuku, Managing Director of NDDC, highlighted the importance of adopting measures to tackle corruption and promote transparency in the public service.

The NDDC Board and Management are committed to ensuring that ethical values are firmly entrenched within the commission.
