Nigerian Military Arrests 16 Senior Officers Over Alleged Coup Plot

Nigerian security forces have uncovered and arrested 16 senior military officers allegedly involved in a coup plot against President Bola Tinubu's administration. The suspects, including high-ranking officers from the Nigerian Army, Navy, and Air Force, are led by Brigadier General Musa Abubakar Sadiq.

The arrests have raised concerns about the depth of the network within the armed forces. Despite the seriousness of the accusations, neither the defense headquarters nor the presidency has issued an official statement.
