Nigerian Troops Neutralize 80 Boko Haram, ISWAP Commanders

On Wednesday, Nigerian troops successfully neutralized 80 members of Boko Haram and ISWAP, including several key commanders, in Borno State. The military operation took place in the early hours and was aimed at thwarting an insurgent advance towards the Duguri general area.

Troops engaged in fierce gunfire with the terrorists, who attempted to breach the defenses of the 68 Battalion. Among the identified commanders killed were Abdulrahman Gobara, Mallam Ba, Yuram Abou Ayyuba, and others, including notable fighters like Zarkawi Ba Bunu and Abu Aisha.

The operation was supported by multiple armed drones, highlighting the military's strategic approach to countering the insurgency in the region.
