Troops Eliminate 3 ISWAP Commanders, 80 Fighters in Borno

On Wednesday, troops from the Northeast Joint Task Force, operating under the "Operation Hadin Kai," successfully repelled a coordinated five-pronged attack by Boko Haram in Mallam Fatori, Abadam Local Government Area, Borno State. The operation resulted in the elimination of three high-profile ISWAP commanders: Abdulrahman Gobara, Mallam Ba Yuram, and Abou Ayyuba, along with 80 insurgents.

The attack was met with overwhelming resistance, showcasing superior tactics and discipline among the troops, who maintained full situational awareness. Despite the scale of the assault, the troops recorded minimal casualties, with four soldiers wounded.

The operation also led to the recovery of substantial caches of weapons and ammunition, including 52 AK-47 rifles and various machine guns. Lt.

Col. Sanni Uba emphasized that this operation represents a significant setback for the terrorist network and reassured the public of the security situation in the area.

The military command commended the troops for their resilience and urged citizens to remain vigilant against misinformation.
