IDL Educates Ogun Students on Drug Abuse Dangers

On Tuesday, IDL Amazon held a sensitization program at Iganmod Grammar School in Ojuor Ota, Ogun State, focusing on the dangers of drug and alcohol abuse among students. The event was led by Bertina Bamgbos from IDL's human resources management team, who emphasized the need for guidance for teenagers facing social pressures.

She highlighted that young people often encounter challenges that could lead them astray and stressed the importance of self-discipline and respect. Dr.

Victoria Elegbed, a psychiatrist, spoke about the psychological and mental threats posed by drug abuse, including academic derailment and potential death. Boluwatif Alaka represented the students, expressing gratitude for the awareness initiative.

G.O. Shodiya, the principal, and Mr.

Adekanmbi, a staff member, also acknowledged IDL's support for the school community. The program aimed to empower students with knowledge and courage to resist substance abuse and focus on their aspirations.
