Kebbi Governor Idris Enhances Security for Eid Celebration

Governor Nasir Idris of Kebbi State has announced a commitment to boost security and implement impactful projects as a gift for Eid el-Fitr. In a statement issued by his special adviser on communication strategy, Abdullahi Idris, the governor expressed gratitude for the community's dedication, faith, and sacrifices during Ramadan.

He acknowledged the resilience and continued support of the residents and noted that his administration has made significant strides in key sectors, including education, infrastructure, agriculture, and economic empowerment. The governor cited recent distributions of Ramadan palliatives and dry season farm inputs as part of efforts to cushion economic hardships.

He reassured citizens of sustained efforts to safeguard lives and properties, revealing ongoing collaborations with security agencies and the training of hundreds of youth volunteers. These volunteers are part of a combined team with personnel from the military, police, and Nigeria Security Civil Defence Corps, supporting the existing security architecture in Kebbi State.
