Idris Lauds Kebbi Governor as Top Performer in Nigeria

Alhaji Mohammed Idris, the Minister of Information and National Orientation, has recognized Dr. Nasir Idris, the Governor of Kebbi State, as one of the best-performing governors in Nigeria. This commendation was made during a courtesy visit by the Commissioner for Information and Culture, Alhaji Yakubu Ahmed, to the minister's office.

Idris praised the governor for his significant achievements in various sectors, including infrastructure, healthcare, agriculture, and youth empowerment, noting the transformation of the state capital and improvements in infrastructure across Kebbi State. He recalled his visit to Kebbi State last year, where he witnessed developmental projects executed by the governor's administration, including the newly constructed civil servants’ secretariat.

Idris also acknowledged the contributions of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's administration to Kebbi's development, mentioning major projects like the Lagos–Badagry Superhighway and housing for Internally Displaced Persons through NEMA. He stated that Kebbi State has the highest number of kilometres benefiting from the Lagos–Badagry Superhighway project, which he believes will enhance the socio-economic development of the state and Nigeria.
