Shehu of Borno Praises Kebbi Governor Nasir Idris

The Shehu of Borno, Alhaji Abubakar Ibn Umar Garbai Al-Amin El-Kanemi, commended Kebbi State Governor Comrade Dr. Nasir Idris for his commendable performance and hospitality towards Borno indigenes living in Kebbi State. This acknowledgment occurred during a visit from the Kebbi State Government media team, led by Commissioner for Information and Culture, Alhaji Yakubu Ahmed Birnin Kebbi, at the Shehu's palace in Maiduguri.

The Shehu expressed gratitude for the care he and other Borno indigenes have received from Governor Idris, describing him as “an excellent person” and a leader worthy of emulation. He noted the prestigious traditional title of Zanan Borno conferred on Governor Idris, which he deemed well-deserved due to the governor's leadership and generosity.

The Shehu announced plans for a grand ceremony to honor Governor Idris, inviting dignitaries from various states. He also reflected on the historical ties between Borno, Sokoto, and Gwandu emirates and lamented the impact of insurgency in Borno State.
