Idris Calls for Unity in Nigeria's Print Industry Growth

Mohammed Idris, the Minister of Information, urged stakeholders in Nigeria's print industry to embrace unity and collaboration for sustainable growth during the Nigeria Print Industry Stakeholders Summit 2026 held on Tuesday in Abuja. He highlighted the importance of resolving leadership disputes within the Chartered Institute of Professional Printers of Nigeria (CIPPON) as a unique opportunity to reposition the profession and unlock its vast economic potential.

Idris called for collective support for leadership to move the profession forward and emphasized the need for dialogue to better serve the industry. He noted the significant economic value and employment potential of the print sector and stressed that it is better positioned to attract government support and policy interventions.

Idris reaffirmed the Ministry's commitment to supporting CIPPON's efforts to build a stronger and more innovative print industry that remains relevant in an increasingly digital world. He encouraged practitioners to embrace technological innovations to enhance their contributions to national development.
