Atiku Warns Government Over El-Rufai's Safety Concerns

Atiku Abubakar, the former Vice President of Nigeria, has issued a stern warning to the federal government regarding the safety of former Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai, who is reportedly detained. Atiku expressed grave concern over El-Rufai's health and welfare, stating that the federal government must ensure his safety and access to medical care.

He highlighted that any harm that befalls El-Rufai would result in the government being held accountable. Atiku criticized the actions of security agencies, including the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) and the Independent Corrupt Practices Commission (ICPC), for their perceived selective prosecution of opposition figures.

He raised issues regarding El-Rufai's reported health problems, including suffering from nosebleeds and being denied access to meals and legal representation. Atiku emphasized the need for transparency and fairness in the application of justice, asserting that the rule of law should be applied without political bias.
